金刚石压头是将一粒规定重量的优质的金刚石，研磨成有一定技术要求的标准几何形状，镶嵌入圆锥或正四棱锥顶部，命名为“金刚石压头”或“硬度计压头”。
它用于计量部门的标准硬度计和对金属或其它硬质材料硬度的鉴定；
适用于：hr-150a洛氏硬度计、WHR-150数显洛氏硬度计等等各种仪器。
